HILTON HEAD HUMANE (HHH). CHINESE SANCAI STYLE GLAZED. ROOF TILE/TOMB TOP FIGURINE. DESCRIPTION : This interesting figurine measures approximately 11″ high x 6 1/2″ wide and 3 deep. It features a man riding an adorned elephant atop a green decorated base. The base takes up approximately 3 1/4 of the total height of the piece. The man is dressed in green and cobalt blue and there is a reptile/amphibian creature atop his head dress. This piece is in very good condition as far as we can tell. There is a small chip in the man’s left cheek and the elephant’s tusks do not match in design; we can not tell if this is a part of the design or not. Our items have been donated to our thrift store and we usually do not have first hand knowledge of the item. We are also staffed by volunteers who are probably not expert in the item listed.
